Moles can be an unsightly nuisance, possibly posing health risks when they are misshapen and oddly colored. Normal moles are rounded and have a brown or black color; sometimes they are raised from the skin. Most remedies include surgical and laser procedures to remove the mole. For some people, these methods are impractical; home remedies are better suited to the need. Using a few household products, you can remove moles in your own home.
Apply a thin slice of garlic to the mole and cover with a bandage. Leave the garlic on for several hours and replace in the evening. This process is to be repeated twice daily for several days until the mole is completely dried up.
Apply a piece of potato to your mole for up to five minutes, several times daily. Potatoes contain enzymes that break down excess pigmentation and cause moles to shrink until they are gone.
Soak your mole in sour apple juice three times a day for three weeks. The acid in the sour apple juice will slowly melt the mole and get rid of over pigmentation by whitening the skin.
Make a paste of one part baking soda and one part castor oil. Dab onto the mole and leave on overnight. You may wear a bandage over this treatment. Wash skin thoroughly in the morning. Repeat treatment before bed every night for two to three weeks. Chalk may also be used in lieu of castor oil. Due to burn concerns, however, the chalk content should be half of the baking soda content.
Apply the juice from a dandelion root to the mole. Cut the root and squeeze its juice to the surface. Apply a thin layer onto the mole, making sure it is completely covered. Allow the juice to be absorbed into your mole. Do this several times daily for a week or two.
