Sagging skin on the face and neck happen sfor a variety of reasons. These can include losing a lot of weight, your genetics and just natural aging. A turkey neck or sagging jowls can happen to anyone, but there are a few natural ways to mitigate sagging skin, no matter what the cause.
Eat Healthily
For your skin to look firm and tight you need to include plenty of antioxidant-rich foods in your diet. These will help eliminate free radicals and tighten the collagen in the skin. Grapes,?avocados,?olives, honey and passion fruit are all excellent choices. Citrus fruits, pears, watermelon and berries are also good. Avoid salt, sodas, alcohol and fried foods. If you want a snack, eat Brazil nuts, they contain skin-boosting selenium, which can help maintain elasticity in the skin. For a refreshing drink try pomegranate juice, it contains anthocyanins—these help strengthen the blood vessels that provide nutrients to the skin.
Use Firming Cream
Skincare company Eternalist recommends you look for a firming cream formula containing wakame seaweed, chrysin or keratin. Always use a cream with Vitamin E, this will hydrate the cells in neck skin to make them tighter and wrinkles less visible.
Drink Water
You should aim to drink eight glasses of cold water a day. Water flushes the toxins out of your body and provides the moisture to keep your skin supple and fresh.
Do Facial Exercises
Tightening the skin on your face is just like trying to tighten the skin on any other part of your body, you need to exercise it. To get rid of a double chin, try tilting your head back with your mouth closed and look at the ceiling. Pretend you are chewing something and move your chin up and down 100 times a day. To tighten the skin around your neck, keep your mouth closed and suck in repeatedly. To exercise your cheeks for more distinguished cheekbones, suck them in and repeat 100 times a day. Or grooming-health.com recommends smiling as wide as you can with your lips closed, using each index finger to push against your cheeks. ??
Use a Facial Mask
There are many facial masks available in the shops, or you could try making one yourself. Make a cucumber mask from 2 tbsp. of cucumber juice, mixed with one egg white, a few drops of lemon juice, and a few drops of vitamin E oil. Apply to your face and neck and leave on for about 10-15 minutes, then wash with warm water. Your skin will feel tighter and refreshed.
